I’m continuing to experiment with WordPress and building this site in the process. So it’s very much a case of 2 steps forward and 1 step back! The more I’m exploring and experimenting, the more decisions I make on how I want to present my work. Ideally I want the experience of exploring my artwork to be as simple and easy as possible, but also make it interesting and unique. I’d thought about having a page for each piece of artwork under different headings, such as Paintings, Sculptures etc, but that seemed a bit too obvious and clumsy (lots of clicking back and forth, which made it difficult to get a good overview). At the moment I think I’m going to put all my finished pieces in one page (adding information in the description section of the image insertion editor). I’m also toying with the idea of presenting all my work in monochrome and colour, as two separate galleries. A lot of my current ideas incorporate monochrome with accents of colour, so I think this could be an interesting way of presenting work. This also ties to the photographs that I am taking at the moment, which are in black and white.
