Inspiration Comes From Many Sources – OBTRUSIV Magazine Q&A feature on my artwork.

I was recently asked by the online magazine if they could feature me and my artwork on their site. I said yes of course! I found the process of answering specific questions about my work to be useful and rewarding. It’s not essential for artists to be able to articulate themselves in relation to their work, but I find it helpful in strengthening my resolve or in rejecting a notion that needed addressing. For example, when we verbalise an idea or opinion, in that very process it can either gain momentum or its weaknesses be revealed (to then be rejected or worked on). I’d like to thank OBTRUSIV for their professionalism, politeness and respectfulness in their communications in dealing with me. I would also like to extend special thanks to Andreas Stavropoulos for his considered questions, as well as my good friend Rory Garforth for taking the portrait photograph that OBTRUSIV used in the feature (shown below).
